We rescued Shiloh from a high kill shelter in Tennesse and adopted him in New Brunswick Canada two years ago when he was 7 years old. Shiloh was a very sad dog, extremelly underweight at 78 pounds with severe diareah, scaly skin and broken teeth. Today, Shiloh is a healthy 115 pound dog full of life and love. My friend, my companion...Shiloh ( meaning ~ he who was sent ~ )

Shiloh-he who was sent-what a terrific new friend he's been. We met Shiloh on the webpage of our favorite rescue Westside Shepard Rescue located here in the Los Angeles area, as our family has always adopted through rescues only. Although he resides in Canada, we follow him daily through his travels. He's a great writer and story teller and speaks for and with dogs on either side of the Rainbow Bridge. I call him the gate keeper because he's able to "channel". He's a snazzy dresser as he always wears a bandana scarf and you'd think he was a lab in another life because he "wubz" the water. I'm soooo glad he found a forever home where he can live the life is so deserves. :)

Shiloh is a very intelligent dog but had a very harsh start in life. But he is now in good hands and have the best life a dog could dream of ! She is the real hero by teaching anyone who wants to listen to adopt a fur-senior. I have personally seen the transformation of Shiloh from a blank faced insecure adult dog who did not know how to play into a full of life, playful puppy reliving his youth! By sharing their life every day via photos and videos, inspires us humans to live for the moment, as we know dogs do so well. And to give a chance to the less adoptable xoxo

Living in Tasmania, Australia, I couldn't be further away physically from Shiloh and his wonderful mummy but emotionally I feel such a bond and connection with both Shiloh and Andrea. I read shilohs story and his posts to my gsd sunny girl and also my 7 yr old grand daughter. I know they both enjoy the telling. Lol . My granddaughter is gaining an understanding and empathy with ALL animals and is already telling any one who will listen how wrong it is to be cruel and unloving to animals. Words can't express just how how much this story, dog and amazing women affect me..

My daughter tried from her computer, me from my phone and computer it still said we were voter number 2695 so it did not count all our votes. Which has made me sad.
